Intellectual Property

It's called "property" for a reason.  Intellectual property has value -- tangible value.  Value that you can put a dollar sign on.  Just like any other property, it costs to acquire it.  It also costs to maintain it.  Finally, and not surprisingly, it costs to get your money out of it.

So, no one should be surprised to hear that Intellectual Property has to be managed from conception through divestiture.

Each organization is different and all have different priorities when it comes to expenses.  Let's face it.  Putting resources into the capture of your Intellectual Property is expensive beyond the costs of legal fees.

People are consumed -- often your best people.

The whole patent process can last months or years.

I will work with you and your legal team to find the right balance of capturing the appropriate IP and being able to operate freely within a technology space.
